Tread Lightly

WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO

We are a non-commercial social club dedicated to 4WD touring and associated activities of a recreational nature. Our club is open to owners of SUBARUS and ALL other makes of 4WD vehicles who would like to participate in touring and exploring areas of our countryside, whether it be a day trip, a weekend away camping, or an extended tour of longer duration without damage to the enviroment.

As a member club of the Recreational 4WD Clubs Association of NSW, we adhere to the "Tread Lightly" campaign and the 4WD drivers Code of Ethics. Previous experience in four wheel driving is not essential, as we have a training officer and many experienced club members always willing to assist newcomers. Heavy recovery equipment is not necessary, but new members are encouraged to purchase basic recovery gear, e.g. a "snatchem strap" etc.

The club endeavours to cater for all with a variety of trips and social outings. We try to have a guest speaker at some of our monthly meetings to keep us up to date on new products in the 4WD and associated fields, and to further our enjoyment of the club. Non members are invited to attend one of our meetings and participate in one or two trips on a "get to know you" basis before joining the club. This does not include driver awareness events though which are for members only.

For more information please feel free to ask us a question via the "Contact Us" link or alternatively you can phone 02 9990 9052. The Club meets at the Strathfield Community Centre, Bates Street, Strathfield West, on the 2nd Friday of the month at 8.00pm. Visitors are always welcome.
